Enhancements and problems fixed in Adagio ODBC-RW 9.0A (20081114)

Initial Release of Adagio ODBC-RW.

Installing

Adagio ODBC-RW is an Add-on product for Adagio ODBC. Adagio ODBC 9.0A must be installed before installing the ODBC-RW Add-on. Adagio ODBC-RW and Adagio ODBC must be at the same version.

To install Adagio ODBC-RW, you need the serial number and install code from the Product Label that came with your Product CD or from the download email sent to you by Softrak Systems.

To install Adagio ODBC-RW, insert the CD in the drive. If the install program does not start automatically, run ADAGIO.EXE from the root of the CD. Or, if Adagio ODBC-RW was downloaded, run the program file you downloaded. Once the install program is running, you can click the View button to open the Readme file for detailed instructions.

Adagio ODBC-RW does not include a workstation install. If it is installed on a network and you want to run it from a station other than the station it was installed from, you must reinstall it from that station to the same network drive. This simply installs the Readme help file and a link to it from the Windows Start menu. If you do not need to see the readme, this step is not necessary. However, you must do a workstation install of Adagio ODBC to each station that will run Adagio ODBC or Adagio ODBC-RW.

Adagio ODBC-RW 9.0A requires Adagio Lanpak to be version 9.0A or higher. New versions of products require Lanpaks to be at the currently shipping version. You must install or upgrade to Lanpak 9.0A if you require multiple users in Adagio ODBC-RW. If you have any prior version Lanpaks installed, but no 9.0A Lanpaks, the Adagio ODBC-RW install will warn you.

Adagio ODBC-RW is not certified to run in a live multi-user environment. Although there should be no problems; in most cases, there may be instances were locking is not compatible between ODBC-RW and other Adagio modules. Adagio Developer Partners should use the Adagio Data Source (ADS) to write to Adagio databases in a multi-user environment.
